Small Group Resources
SMALL GROUP STUDY RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE AT HLC.
These resources are available for youth and adult small group settings.
Some of these studies have a limited number of books and study guides available. The primary media is DVD, but several are older and have only VHS or Audio CDs.
Under each resource is a brief description to help you discern the study of choice for your journey, age group and setting. These are located in the Media Center on the lower level of HLC next to the 5th-6th grade classroom. Please contact the Church Office if you need to check out the materials or if we need to order more guides or books.
This list is by no means complete. We will be adding to it periodically. Pastor Dave also has personal collections of small group study materials that may be useful to your journey. Please let him know what your plans are and there may be another resource available that is not in our church resource room.

Just Walk Across the Room by Bill Hybels
Believers universally affirm that evangelism is a vital part of what God calls them to do, but very few make a practice of doing it. They feel awkward and ill-equipped, either because they've never been trained, or because their lack of interaction with non- Christians prevents them from using and developing the skills they do have. Bill Hybels addresses these concerns and signals the next era in personal evangelism with Just Walk Across the Room. Drawing on fresh perspectives from the author's own experiences, as well as time-tested and practical illustrations, Just Walk Across the Room encourages and equips readers to routinely initiate spiritual conversations with those who don't know Christ. This is the Participant's Guide for participating in group study.

Jesus lived with the awareness that God is doing something right here, right now, and anybody can be a part of it. He encouraged his listeners to search, to question, to wrestle with the implications of what he was saying and doing. He inspired, challenged, provoked, comforted, and invited people to be open to God's work in this world. Wherever he went, whatever he did, Jesus started discussions about what matters most, because for Jesus, God is always inviting us to open our eyes and join in. NOOMA is a series of short films that explore our world from the perspective of Jesus. NOOMA is an invitation to search, question, and join the discussion.
