Saturday 8:30 a.m.: “Acts: The Birth of the Church.” The Men’s Bible Study Group will start a new study based on David Jeremiah’s book, “Acts: The Birth of the Church.” The study is partitioned into twelve lessons that emphasizes God’s guidance of His church, the spread of the gospel, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit in believers. It highlights Acts as the most fertile period of outreach in Christian history, showing churches planted and disciples empowered despite persecution and hardship. The study is designed for both personal reflection and group learning, with each chapter including Scripture passages, commentary, and life application questions. We would like to invite all men from HLC to join us each Saturday morning for a time of study, reflection, and fellowship. If you have questions, please contact the church office at 859-689-7590 or email sonya@hebronlutheran.org.
Sundays 10:15 am: “God’s Dwelling Places:” A new Adult Bible Study meets on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. join us! From Genesis to Revelation God has chosen to dwell among His people in remarkable ways. These sacred spaces were more than just mere structures—they symbolized God’s presence, His covenant, and His desire for an intimate relationship with humanity. This Bible study will take us on a journey through the significance of the dwelling places of God that began at the Garden of Eden to the time when Jesus walked the earth and entered Herod’s Temple. We will explore the history, significance, the locations, construction, purpose, and spiritual meaning of each of these important places. In doing so we will discover that each dwelling place is a foreshadow of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ, and lastly to reflect on what these dwelling places mean for us today. This class, instructed by Rick Kloos, takes place in the first-floor classroom #205, located at the end of the corridor on the left. All are welcome to join us each week for study and fellowship. If you have questions, please contact the church office at 859-689-7590 or email sonya@hebronlutheran.org.
Sundays 10:15 am: “Fruit of the Spirit:” New Bible Study beginning Sunday February 15, 2026, between services, 10:05 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., a new Women’s study, led by Debbie Kloos, will be based on the Rose Publishing book, “Fruit of the Spirit Bible Study.” Freshly plucked from the tree of words found in Galatians 5:22-23, the Apostle Paul wrote down nine separate
Spirit-led characteristics that help shape the Christian life in what is called “The Fruit of the Spirit.” Paul presents these qualities not as isolated virtues to be achieved through personal effort, but as the natural outgrowth of a life guided by the Holy Spirit. These qualities shape how Christians think, act, and relate to others, creating healthier relationships and a stronger witness to the world. In this way, the fruit becomes a portrait of Christlike character, showing how deeply the gospel has taken root in a person’s heart. In this study the goal is to provide greater understanding of these Spirit-led attributes so that the work of the Holy Spirit will blossom in your life demonstrating that true spiritual growth flows not from striving, but from walking daily with the Holy Spirit and to walk as Jesus walked. If you have questions, please contact the church office at 859-689-7590 or email sonya@hebronlutheran.org.
